The Nisoria 12 string lyre harp is a hand crafted musical instrument made with care and love using only materials and parts that are of high quality and eco-friendly. The sound of our maple diatonic lyre is clear, bright, angelic.

The diatonic lyre offers a wider choice of possibilities and is well suited for the introduction of the tonal music – major as well as minor tonalities. In other words, one can play almost any children’s songs, folk songs or other simple melodies with it. The joy of making music is supported by the bright and soothing sound and the intuitive playing technique.

This is the Maple wood version of our 12 string diatonic lyre.
The tuning of this instrument goes from c’ to g”: c’-d’-e’-f’-g’-a’-h’-c”-d”-e”-f”-g”/ do’, re’, mi’, fa’, sol’, la’, si’, do”, re”, mi”, fa”, sol”.
You can also naturally vary the tuning of the instrument within certain limits.

All of our lyres are made of one piece of wood, selected for resonance, with no defects and structurally solid.
This particular instrument is made of Maple wood, one of the traditional woods used for musical instruments. The natural resonance of the wood results in a clear, bright sound.

This instrument is polished carefully to allow the natural colors of the wood to shine through.
We finish the instrument with a few coats of natural Shellac. We use clear shellac for our maple instruments which allows for the light, almost white color of maple to shine through. This finish is non toxic and environment friendly.
Naturally, wood grain and color vary with each instrument, each one being unique.
We use only high quality parts. The tuning pegs, tuning keys and strings are made in Germany.
